This retirement panel hosted by the SPAR staff subcommittee will explore the topic of retirement from the perspective of people of color, particularly staff. We will learn about benefits programs and how to prepare for retirement at any age and career stage from the UMN Office of Human Resources. All SPH staff are invited and welcome.

• Explore what retirement may look like for people of color and what challenges they may expect
• Consider how retirement experiences and preparation may differ based on race, gender, citizenship, family structures, and other factors.
• Discuss strategies to best prepare for retirement at different stages of our careers
• Learn about what UMN Office of Human Resources benefits offer us before and during retirement
