HealthNewsReview.org Now Offers Help to Improve Health-related News Releases

Sarah Howard | March 9, 2017

HealthNewsReview.org, which helps consumers critically analyze claims about health care interventions, is now working to correct problems before they start by reviewing health care news releases before they are published.

PR professionals can send a draft of their planned news release and three of HealthNewsReview.org’s expert reviewers will examine the release against the same criteria they currently review published news releases.

“Rather than simply offering constructive criticism to writers when they publish, now we are offering limited help before to prevent issues,” says Gary Schwitzer, HealthNewsReview.org publisher and School of Public Health Associate Adjunct Professor.

Those interested in the service can email feedback@healthnewsreview.org.
