Literature Review

Reviewing the scientific literature on food insecurity among college students:

In 2017, Dr. Laska and colleagues published the first systematic review on college food insecurity, including both peer-reviewed articles as well as gray literature. This review has been used extensively in the literature and in subsequent recommendations, such as the Government Accountability Office’s 2018 report on federal food assistance for eligible college students.

Since that time, a variety of additional research has been published. Picking up where we left off with our previous review, the Hungry to Learn team updated their review in 2019, with the support of a team of University of Minnesota librarians.
