SPH Undergraduate Scholarships

Shelley Joseph-Kordell Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship awards two $1,000 scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students who show strong promise and dedication to improving the lives of older adults. Priority consideration will be given to students who demonstrate a past, current, and future commitment to the field of aging. Active participation in the Aging Studies Interdisciplinary Group (ASIG) is strongly encouraged.

Undergraduate Current Student Scholarship
The goal of this scholarship is to provide financial support to School of Public Health (SPH) undergraduate students in the Public Health BA program who have financial need and are nearing degree completion. This scholarship application opens during the Fall semester.

Emergency scholarships through OneStop
The University of Minnesota has created emergency funds to assist and support University of Minnesota students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency or catastrophic event. Emergency grant funds are limited. Completing an emergency grant form does not guarantee funding.

The ASPPH Scholarship List curates a list of scholarships available to public health students and includes very helpful tips on how to receive a scholarship and finance your education.

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) Endowed Scholarship
The SMSC Scholarship was established in 2008 through a generous gift from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. The SMSC scholarship program is designed to recruit and retain talented American Indian students with demonstrated financial need to the University of Minnesota.

Disability Resource Center (DRC) – Disability Related Scholarships
Students with disabilities may apply for scholarships through the Disability Resource Center.

UMN Women’s Center Awards and Scholarships
The UMN Women’s Center manages a number of scholarships for both incoming and current students and funding for attending conferences.
