Each fall, SPH alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends come together for an exclusive evening designed to spark meaningful connections, celebrate our shared commitment to public health, and strengthen our vibrant community.
This year’s gathering invites us to experience food as life, culture, and community—a reflection of the public health values we share—at Diane’s Place in northeast Minneapolis. Recently named Food & Wine’s 2025 Restaurant of the Year and featured on The New York Times’ list of 50 Best Places to Eat in America, Diane’s Place is one of the most sought-after reservations in the Twin Cities!
About the Chef
Enjoy an evening of conversation and connection over locally inspired dishes created by Chef Diane Moua. Diane’s Hmong heritage and public health–aligned philosophy, using local ingredients to nourish both body and community, shine through her award-winning work. Her six James Beard nominations are a testament to her artistry and leadership in the culinary world and an opportunity for SPH to experience the best in class.
This event is hosted by the SPH Alumni Society Board. Creating meaningful engagement to build an alumni-centric culture within the SPH community through connections with faculty, staff, and students.
