Personal Statements (or “Statement of Purpose” as it can otherwise be called) are essential components of your application. This is your opportunity to provide a narrative to why you are pursuing an advanced degree in the area to which you are applying. This webinar will give you some insights into what admissions committees are looking for in this essay, what works, and what doesn’t. We will address all of this and more as well as other questions you may have.

The SPH Application Webinar Series focuses on the application process related to our Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science (MS) degree programs. If you have questions about the Doctoral (PhD) or Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree options, please contact us at sph-admissions@umn.edu.

Additionally, questions will be prioritized based on the topic of Personal Statements and other questions will be addressed if time permits.
