The Genomic Data Commons serves as a genomic-data repository for publicly available datasets, especially those from locally conducted research, for U of M researchers.
The database will facilitate reproducible, genomic research by
- streamlining data preprocessing steps
- building a culture of genomic data sharing among researchers
- minimizing repetitive work (e.g., cloning and curating the same dataset over and over).
