The GDC Data Dashboard features a dynamic pie chart that visualizes the distribution of samples across diverse ancestries, including African/African American (AA), Admixed American (AMR), South Asian (SAS), East Asian (EAS), and European (EUR) populations. An accompanying 1000 Genomes public data illustration demonstrates the interactive navigation and filtering capabilities available through the dashboard, helping users explore ancestry-based patterns and cohort-level summaries. Currently, the Genomic Data Commons (GDC) hosts 20 projects comprising a total of 157,170 samples, representing a broad range of genetic diversity across populations.
