The Epidemiology Clinical Research Center (ECRC) was founded in 2000 to support the study of human health in a clinical research center. Research conducted at the center is devoted to improving health for all, reducing health disparities, and collaborating to find innovative solutions to today’s health problems. Research conducted at the ECRC focuses on population health and cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, sleep disorders, aging, cancer, hormone replacement therapy, environmental health, women’s health, and more.
The ECRC works with Principle Investigators to accommodate study needs, facilitating the use of exams rooms, equipment, and study or lab staff. The ECRC has a fully operating lab, freezer rooms, centralized reception and a participant kitchen. Studies conducted at the ECRC range from small pilot studies to national multi-center cohort studies, and the ECRC sees as many as 500 participants a month.
