SPH Community Forum: Understanding the Supreme Court’s Ruling on Affirmative Action

September 27, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

Location: Virtual
  • « National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-Approved Spirometry Training Refresher
  • HPM Seminar with Stefan Gildemeister, MA »

On June 29, 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down colleges’ use of race-conscious admissions processes nationwide.

At the University of Minnesota School of Public Health (SPH), we believe that having people with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences on college campuses is an advantage for everyone and builds deeper knowledge and understanding. We’re committed to nurturing the next generation of public health leaders who represent and serve every community.

During the September 2023 community form, we’ll bring together the SPH community with UMN Office of the General Counsel to learn more about the Supreme Court decisions, what the new ruling means for the University, and how the decisions will impact SPH.
