Advantages of the Program

Support. More than 2,600 graduates— executives who are extremely connected to and invested in the success of MHA students—comprise the Minnesota MHA Alumni Association.

Small classes. Our cohort learning model broadens skills and confidence, and features hands-on learning.

Career focused. 100 percent of graduating students secure fellowships or employment by July of their graduating year.

Location. Minnesota is a healthcare industry hub, home to hundreds of healthcare organizations and more than 500 FDA-approved medical technology manufacturers.

Highly ranked. Our program is currently ranked as the #2 graduate healthcare management program in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Integrated health sciences. The U of M’s innovative infrastructure of six health sciences schools—one of three such models in the U.S.—gives our students the ability to learn from and work with a diverse array of students and health experts.

Accreditation. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), the gold standard in graduate healthcare education.

MHA/MBA Dual Degree

The MHA/MBA dual degree is designed for students who wish to earn an MBA degree as well as an MHA degree. It is a partnership between the MHA program and the MBA program at the Carlson School of Management (opens in a new window).

JD/MHA Dual Degree

JD/MHA Dual Degree The JD/MHA dual degree program is a partnership with the UMN Law School and can be completed in four years. This options prepares individuals for a career as legal advisor or general counsel in a health care organizations.
