"I've always been interested in infectious diseases, population health, and disparities. Then I discovered that those topics are part of a field of study, and that field is public health."

I love the feel of public health because of how broad it is. Across programs, I don’t know two people doing the exact same thing. This creates a huge network of public health professionals. It’ll pay off big time for us students in the future. I chose to get my MPH here because Minnesota is really well connected with the world around public health issues. When I graduate, I hope to work in finance or research development in biotech for infectious disease.
