Homelessness and Unstable Housing and its Health Impacts: A Measurement Dilemma

May 10, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

Location: West Bank Office Building, Room 364

Homelessness is a growing problem in the US. Although widely appreciated to have profound impact on health, variable definitions of homelessness and measurement challenges limit the rigor of research to capture these impacts. We will discuss the varying definitions of homelessness in the US, the changing landscape of US homelessness over time, existing sources of primary and secondary data, and review several examples of studies of health and homelessness.

Audience for this event: All SPH faculty, students and staff

Speaker(s)
