The iMpact seminar series enriches those interested in advancing the work of learning health systems. Our focus is exploring the many facets and dimensions of impact that the ideas, technologies, and practices presented have on learning health systems. This month will feature Dr. Joshua Rhein, who will share insights from an evidence synthesis initiative conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting key challenges and lessons learned.

Learn more about Dr. Joshua Rhein

Dr. Rhein is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where he received his medical degree and completed his infectious diseases fellowship. He has a broad background in global health and infectious diseases, with specific focus on HIV and CNS infections in resource-limited areas. He led an Evidence Based Medicine Group on COVID-19 therapeutics to rapidly generate evidence-based reviews of potential treatments to inform guidelines for use by clinicians and health systems during the pandemic. He currently serves as the Integration Lead for the Department of Medicine for the Evidence Synthesis Program in the Center for Learning Health System Sciences.
