Research
The Cannabis Research Center (CRC) conducts timely and Minnesota-centered research on both the positive and negative health effects of cannabis. The CRC draws upon research expertise in the School of Public Health (SPH) to conduct studies as well as provide interpretation and contextualization of research findings. This information will give policymakers evidence to design cannabis policy that protects public health and will help Minnesotans make informed choices about cannabis use.
Research topics of interest to the CRC include, but are not limited to:
- Effect of cannabis use on health
- Prevention and treatment of substance use disorders
- Issues related to equity in cannabis production, sales, marketing, and use
- Education related to cannabis
- Topics related to decriminalization and cannabis
