A Note from the Master of Healthcare Administration Program Director

January is a busy month for the MHA and Executive Studies programs. We begin the sixth executive MHA cohort with 33 accomplished students. Cohort 5 follows with a 5-day on-campus session and, at the end of the month, Cohort 4 returns for its last session.

Second-year full-time students move to their final semester this month. At this time more than 85% have secured fellowships and employment positions. Applications for admission to the full-time program exceed last year at this time. Impressive, future healthcare leaders are out thereā€”an encouraging sign for the industry.

Our global reach continues. We expect to start another cohort of executive students from King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Discussions for student residencies and fellowship, and faculty exchanges, continue in Oslo and Prague.

The new alumni association and foundation structure is working well. The board and philanthropy committee remain busy, supportive and generous with their time, talents and resources. I especially appreciate the continuing support of all alumni, who remain a cornerstone of our success.

Enjoy our news and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2015!
