Minnesota County Tour on Dementia and Dementia Care
Dr. Gaugler is on a statewide dementia tour with the goal of visiting all of Minnesota’s 87 counties. Each month, Dr. Gaugler will visit a different county in Minnesota to provide educational outreach on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and other issues of import to Minnesotans as they relate to long-term care. These events will offer the opportunity for Minnesotans to engage more fully in the scholarship and education in long-term care that is occurring at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Gaugler will also invite local community partners and stakeholders to participate and share resources at the events. These activities will create an “outward-facing” orientation that is engaged with Minnesotans and provide a more visible profile to the research and education of both the Families and LTC Projects as well as the Robert L. Kane Endowed Chair in Long-Term Care and Aging.
If you are interested in having Dr. Gaugler visit your county, please contact Ashley Millenbah, MPH, at 612-424-1894 or mill8913@umn.edu for more information.
