Associate professor Dipankar Bandyopadhyay has been selected as the best Associate Editor of 2014 for the Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Statistics (JABES)–a journal of the American Statistical Association and the International Biometric Society–for his exemplary dedication in handling submitted manuscripts, detailed reviews and several other initiatives to help the journal gain visibility.

Bandyopadhyay will be awarded a plaque at the upcoming 2015 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) at Seattle this August.

He is also organizing and chairing a showcase session for JABES at the 2015 JSM.

The JSM is the largest annual gathering of statisticians and bio-statisticians in North America.
