In Memoriam: Elbert “Gil” Gilbertson ’57

The MHA Program has lost a distinguished alumnus and friend, Elbert “Gil” Gilbertson, MHA Class of  1957.

Gilbertson was a longtime administrator at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho, and laid the foundation for what is now St. Luke’s Health System. He was a past chair of the American Hospital Association and received the Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Management from the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Distinguished Service Award from the American Hospital Association.

With great respect, we remember Elbert Gilbertson, ’57.
