The Research Core of the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation is designed to provide Center members with support and collaboration to advance their programs of scholarship in aging.

The established and developing research foci of CHAI include:

  • Equity in long-term services and supports;
  • Transportation in aging;
  • Rural aging;
  • Financial decision-making and aging;
  • LGBTQ aging;
  • Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease related dementias; 
  • Aging and chronic disease management;
  • Nursing homes & senior care;
  • Impact of early life adversity, stress, & trauma on health in later life; and
  • Research dissemination
